Bulldog
Nation!
Welcome [back] to UGA and to a brand new
year. As you’re looking for ways to get plugged in and for a group to
share this college experience with, I’d love to invite you to check us out
at the BCM, because—basically—we want you! We want to have the privilege
of getting to know you, to serve side-by-side with you and to glorify our
Father with you.
My vision for the coming year revolves around two words:
ownership and impact. Ownership in that each and every person who attends
our Gatherings would feel like a necessary part of this family. It’s great
to warm a seat at worship, but we’ve found that we best get to know each
other and see Jesus at work when we’re doing life together. BCM is
student-led, and we can’t do this without you! Sure, we could put on
a fancy show and try to wow you, but it's way more fun (and meaningful!)
when everyone's involved, doing their own God-given part.
Impact in that we influence this campus—introducing people to our God,
making a difference in people’s lives, lifting each other up in hard
times, and spurring on each other and this campus to follow hard after
Christ. Let's take this awesome news of Christ's resurrection out of
our walls and into this campus!
Whether you love kids, the down-and-out, or
international students, whether you love to pray or sing or dance or act,
whether you love to do international missions (for free!) or ride a bike
to Jacksonville, FL (to fund free missions), we have a place for you and
we’d love to have the privilege of making an impact on this campus with
you!
Truly
excited,
michael
